BYD Sime Motors Introduces the Enhanced 2026 BYD SEALION 7 and Expands the Line-Up with New Dynamic Variant

The flagship SUV now goes FURTHER, charges faster, and is more accessible to a wider group of Malaysians.

KUALA LUMPUR, 30 July 2026 – BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, today introduced the 2026 BYD SEALION 7, featuring the all-new Dynamic variant alongside enhanced Premium and Performance models. The refreshed line-up is a direct response to the evolving needs of Malaysian drivers, delivering greater accessibility, extended driving range, faster charging capabilities and an elevated ownership experience.

While the introduction of the new Dynamic variant makes the BYD SEALION 7 more accessible than ever, the enhanced Premium and Performance variants now feature increased battery capacity and faster charging capabilities. Together, these enhancements deliver longer driving range, greater everyday convenience, and added confidence for longer journeys.

Since its debut in 2024, the BYD SEALION 7 has established itself as Malaysia's No. 1 D-Segment Electric SUV in 2025, with more than 6,300 units delivered to customers nationwide. When it was first introduced, the BYD SEALION 7 carried the tagline “Pinnacle of Performance, Redefined for Tomorrow”. 2026 BYD SEALION 7 Highlights

Completing the line-up, the 2026 BYD SEALION 7 is available in a range of sophisticated exterior colours. The enhanced Premium variant now introduces the striking new Ultraviolet exterior colour, adding an even more distinctive and premium expression to BYD's flagship D-Segment Electric SUV. All variants come standard with a Black interior, delivering a sleek and refined cabin experience.

The Dynamic variant is priced at RM163,800, with the first 300 Dynamic variant customers enjoying a special price of RM159,800 after RM4,000 in savings. Meanwhile, the enhanced Premium and Performance variants are priced at RM188,800 and RM203,800 respectively, with exclusive launch promotions available across all variants.

Featuring a rear-wheel-drive configuration, it delivers 170 kW of power, 380 Nm of torque, a driving range of 520 km (NEDC) and 0–100 km/h acceleration in 7.3 seconds, making it well suited for everyday driving.

Premium – Longer Range, Enhanced Convenience

The enhanced Premium variant now features a larger 91.39 kWh BYD Blade Battery, up from 82.56 kWh previously. As a result, driving range has increased from 567 km to 650 km (NEDC), providing greater flexibility for daily commutes and longer journeys. DC fast charging capability has also been upgraded from 150 kW to 230 kW, enabling shorter charging stops and improved convenience on the go.

Performance – Power Meets Practicality

For drivers seeking greater performance, the AWD Performance variant combines exhilarating acceleration with everyday usability. Producing 390 kW of power and 690 Nm of torque, it accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds while delivering up to 600 km (NEDC) of driving range. In addition to its performance credentials, the variant features a 91.39 kWh BYD Blade Battery, 230 kW DC fast charging capability, distinctive red brake calipers and larger 245/45 R20 wheels, underscoring its sporty character while maintaining long-distance practicality.
