– BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD Cars in Malaysia, has received an impressive response from Malaysian consumers following the unveiling of the 2026 BYD ATTO 3, securing over 1,000 bookings within just 10 days of its launch. This milestone sees history repeat itself, mirroring the model’s debut in 2022 when the BYD ATTO 3 first entered the Malaysian market and achieved the same booking milestone within an identical timeframe. This achievement reaffirms the enduring appeal of one of the country’s most popular EV models.

The strong reception follows the model’s unveiling at Sime Motors MotorExpo 2026, marking Malaysia as the first country in the Asia Pacific to introduce the 2026 BYD ATTO 3. True to its tagline, “Faster, Further, Smarter,” the model has drawn strong interest in its enhanced performance—particularly the premium variant with Rear-Wheel Drive, 0–100 km/h in 5.5 seconds—alongside faster charging of up to 220 kW, a driving range of up to 600 km, and enhanced safety and intelligent features for everyday mobility.
